Welcome to the page, dedicated to KS3 information.
Introduction
We enjoy making and performing music at Eastbury, which is something we actively encourage from the start of the year.
The curriculum has been created to give pupils a good foundation in understanding the key elements of music through practical exploration of different areas of study. Each area of study builds from previous skills that have been learnt, with a focus on pupils exploring music through practical exploration.
Assessment of pupils is carried out holistically through a mixture of performing, composing, responses from questions and their general attitude towards learning. This helps us to identify pupils progress in music and also gives them the opportunity to explore sound through expression and creation.
